Prince Erotokritos New Collection at the Bridal Fashion Week

Athens Bridal Fashion Week was an amazing event, incorporated a stunning fashion show of Erotokritos Kimionis with his new men’s collection. The show was held at Zappeion Hall on the 13thof January 2019, in Athens, Greece. This famous Greek designer with innovative creations does a fantastic collection as his work speaks for itself.

Erotokritos Kimionis is also known as “Prince Erotokritos”. His suits are unique, sewn with attention and created of modern designs and colors. The suits are for the grooms and those who want to be distinguished from ordinary fashion styles. We enjoy “blue & black” suits as well as more particular creations with brighter colors. The great number of 40 outfits on the catwalk, was worn by celebrities of the Greek showbiz. The collection was a variation of suits, of which 10 out of 40 were designed to depict scenes from the Marbles of Parthenon. Among them was Christos Kimionis, the son of our beloved talented Greek designer, who walked the ramp too.

Erotokritos Kimionis is a man of talent, grace, courtesy, values, witty and a developed weltanschauung of his kind. He views the world under the prism of positiveness.

Erotokritos team was friendly, professional and happy to assist not only the guests but also the people backstage, as well as the media and media partners. Prince Erotokritos runway was on a par with those great runways one could see in Paris, New York or even London.

Well Done!!!

Moda Dynastie Magazine : «Travel me» – ERMIONIDA GREECE

A picturesque area of the Peloponnese with a lot of historical and cultural elements is definitely Ermionida. Its picturesque villages combine unique beaches and mountains all separated by short distances so that the visitor can combine them even on the same day. The nearest islands of Spetses and Hydra surround the picturesque scenery which is very close to the capital with easy access only 2 hours from the land or sea.

The area has a rich history with a central role in the modern history of Greece, but also in the past where the area of Franchthi was first inhabited by the Neanderthal man. To date, 25,000 years have been explored through the excavations, and there are indications that the cave was inhabited continuously from 20,000 to 3000 BC. where it was demolished.

Many thanks to Dimitris Pallis for his valuable help with the drone

MODA DYNASTIE Magazine: Issue Nov-Dec 2018. «GLAMING» by Vassilios Vitsilogiannis & Despina Dimotsi

Arab Fashion Week, Season 7

Despina: Dubai…I’m back again. It’s a charming city to explore its brilliant attractions and attend the stunning events. I would never miss an event like that.

Vassilios: Welcome to Dubai. We are going to attend the Arab Fashion Week. Get ready…glam and glossy.

Despina: I’m ready for the best. This season’s diversity comes from the participating designers of different countries such as Paraguay, USA, China, Russia, Hong Kong, Portugal, Switzerland and UK.

Vassilios: Obviously, UAE designers participate such as Amato, Michael Cinco, Nina Zandnia, Perla Collection, Soraya Couture, Blssd and Tara bin Shaker. But tell me, who do you mostly like?

Despina: I mostly enjoy the designers from Switzerland-Sophia Nubes, Portugal-Tony Miranda, UK-Bav Taylor and Russia-Asmaraiia. The European style and classical lines prevail among their collections. Basically, the manner in which the designers portray the trends on the garments as well as their expression of vision. Who are your favorite designers?

Vassilios: Michael Cinco fashion knocks out the ordinary trends. Amato by Furne One mixes fabrics to great effect. Nina Zandnia with her collection aspire today’s women to look their best in color, day or night.

Despina: What was really interesting was DKLTJU’s Wen Xihu, a brand of kid’s fashion, since we rarely see kids fashion on the catwalk. Great surprise to me is Shaikha Abdool, the first young Emirati model to walk a catwalk.

Vassilios: Indeed, kids always impress and show the bright side of life. What about the other designers from Paraguay and USA?

Despina: Vro Pardo is remarkable. It presents a culinary fashion, based on the needs of culinary staff and their work environment. Something really unique and extraordinary. Also, Diana Mahrach presents the sexy side of female personality with couture evening and bridal wear. Sophisticated gowns with elegant lines that impress the audience.

Vassilios: Audience needs to be impressed with other elements and principals too.

Despina: Sure. My suggestions would be more male fashion shows, extra large size clothes showcasing and clothes for minor social groups that try to make avid their presence in society. A catwalk needs innovative fashion trends and far-looked minds.

Vassilios: You’re right. Let’s see if the next fashion week has these characteristics. In the meantime, let’s enjoy the glitter sprinkled on this one.

A “Different” Fashion! – Μια «Διαφορετική» Μόδα!

Fashion – as we all know – seems to exist only for those who wear “small” size. Most of us wear “large” and “extra large” sizes, we are not models and our physical appearance is ordinary and not extraordinary. So, in this world, if you are not skinny, tall and beautiful that means you are out of fashion…. and this is unfair.

If you seem to be a plus size, the chances are very few you can fit in a dress that is designed for it by a well-known designer. Also, if you belong to other social groups such as people with disabilities or incommensurate body structure the chances are even lower. Our golden years can also be added to the categories above as we do not usually meet older models or a special fashion show that can easily be part of. Maternity fashion could also be a good idea for a designer to make the difference; unfortunately, nobody dares something like that.

Men’s fashion and kid’s fashion are also fashion categories that we rarely meet on catwalks. That happens because most of the designers design items for the skinny, tall and young woman and most events are created to meet these standards. Apart from catwalks, all areas that are being referred to fashion such as magazines, beauty contests etc. keep these standards intact. Are we really ready to make a step forward in fashion? Maybe yes! Maybe we need a little bit more time to get used to the diversity!!!Α
